Cello Classics Concert

Scissortail Productions opens its 2016-2017 season this Friday, October 14th at 7:00 pm at St. John’s Episcopal Church (235 W. Duffy Street in Norman) with, “Cello Classics,” a concert featuring cellist Rob Bradshaw and pianist Candace Fish. The performance features works by Bach, Beethoven and Debussy and is FREE and open to the public. 

Scissortail Productions is a 501(c)3 non-profit whose mission is to provide performance opportunities to young and emerging musicians as well as public concerts and educational outreach programs to communities in Oklahoma. 

Cloud City at Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center

Visit Tomás Saraceno’s incredible work, Cloud City at Oklahoma Contemporary this weekend (11th street and Broadway Ave.). The large-scale art installation is on loan with the generous support of the Christian Keesee Charitable Trust through Oct. 30, and the interior of the sculpture is open for exploration Thursday and Friday evenings and Saturday and Sunday afternoons. 

Science Museum Oklahoma – Fall Break Camps

Science Museum Oklahoma is holding its next Freaky Funky Fall Camp Oct. 20-21 from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. for grades 1-3 and grades 4-6. Campers “dissect unusual oddities, discover that chemistry can be gooey, gross and delicious, ponder the funky functionality of wacky Minecraft engineering, harness the power of Pokemon electricity and glove up for the science of stitches and scabs.” To register a camper, call 602-3760 or email You can also go online
